This film is interesting and emotional...in the last part.
I was ready to say that it is just nonsense, told in an archaic language.
Primitive people, hunting wild animals, big game and ending up in the precipice.
The hunter becomes the prey...
Well, good for the prey
After all, there is a movie with cave men which stars no other than one of the most celebrated, beloved, admired, glorified artists in the world:
Ringo Starr!
And it is still one of the worst cinematic endeavors ever attempted.
Granted, Ringo Starr changed the world as member of The Beatles, not as an actor.
He has however a fantastic, divine contribution to film making:
Monty Python could not get funding for their Life of Brian project.
Ringo Starr gave all the money they needed - it was not the incredible hundreds of millions some stupid, stupefying features require today.
When asked why he did that, Ringo Starr said:
Because I wanted to see the picture.
Monty Python's Life of Brian could well be
The best comedy ever made
And if not, then it is in top five...not less than ten!
As for Alpha, the hero has a very tender, heart warming, watchable relationship with a wolf.
The protagonist falls under the ice, they are alternately about to die, hunt together and become:
Best friends
Now, if this is worth a trip to the cinema, I am not so sure.
