7 out of 10
Since more than half a million people have rated this feature on average with 7.9 out of 10 and the critics with an also impressive 71 out of 100, Edge of Tomorrow must have plenty to offer.
Well, it does and it doesn't...
If you like seeing the same thing again...and again...an again, then this is perfect.
Only it does not have the charisma, romanticism, noblesse, savior faire, sophistication, glory of Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.
Tom Cruise has a very well known talent, although it is hard to understand and forgive a Scientologist who has done perhaps more than anybody else to promote a sick delusion.
For some...yours truly, it has become hard to separate the killing machine on the screen from the guilty, religious nut who acts there.
Emily Blunt is stupendous.
This is mainly why I have not rated this feature with much less than 7even.
And it is an exaggeration and a sorry attempt at jest to say this is just about going over and over again with the same Deja vu.
There are some clever twists in the plot and a reason why Tom Cruise has to get back and get beaten, kicked, thrown on the floor...
Then killed
And killed again!
Wait a minute!
Did I say the film is not spectacular?
Scratch that.
You see Cruise the Big Scientologist so often on the ground and that is worth the trouble
