in Fithful, Vincent Lacoste has the role of Fernand Iveton, a real victim of the Algerian war, spoiler laert, a man that will be wrongfully sentenced by a French court, despite the fact that his activities, unlawful and condemnable, would not justify torture and worse, one who tries to unite with the Algerian natives.

He falls in love with Helene aka Vicky Krieps (she is forty years old, while Vincent Lacoste is thirty) and they marry, Fernand becoming the adoptive father of the strong woman’s son, the latter would come to admire his step parent so much that he would involve in subversive activity, at his level of a teenager...

There is an arrogance, ultiamtely discrtimination and racism that the French authorities show towards the Algerainas, as they try hard to mainatin their position of a colonial power in a counrty that they claim as theirs, as they have lost their territories in Vietnam and elsehwre, Algeria seems to be a precious last realm to fight for...

I have been cycling to the Lycee, only to find that they caused trouble, so thick and unawre of Climate Change, maybe careless, somehting evident in another atrocious mismagengent, that i mention here – when the cildren get out, at the peak hour, you probably have to this day hundreds of cars waiting and most of them with the engine running, even when you have the exact temperature outdoors that the climate system in the limousines offer, and when i indictaed that this is absurd, and they should take action, the leaders of the school did...nothing, took no action to stop the pollution

Furthermore, this was also a case of ‚eductaing’ the students in doing the wrong things, if in class, teachers would speak of the perils that himainty is facing, then what they saw in the huge parking lot is that nobody in their entourage cares, besdies, while on the bike, a woman driver with a car with the seond most important French embassy plates did not pay attention, and threw me on the ground, and then showed no compassion or remorse.

 

Having said that, the atrocious behaviour in algeria is another story, and Fernand Iveton tries to protest, act agisnt the injustice, racism, abuses and he takes a bomb to put in the factory, with the intetnion of casuing damage, but he had not wanted to hurt anyone, placing it afetr hours, in an abandoned place, with explosives that will have effect at a maximum of four meters, as it is evidenced in the trial, without effect on the decidions of the judges though, which had the mission to punish and intimidate the population and rebels

 

Helene is devoted to her husband, the love between the two is tested and proved to be intense and resilient, she would not abndon her husband in his predicament, she will be support him to the very end...
