Black Panther, written and directed by Ryan Coogler

You should probably avoid reading this note, for it is contrary to the stream of admiration and praise poured on this rather banal yarn.
There is one stand up act that takes a different look at If by Rudyard Kipling.
The poem praises the ability to keep your own opinions, to be brave in the face of adversity, stand tall when others are crumbling under the table.
"If you can keep your head when all around are losing theirs...
Then you'll be a man my boy"
The comedian aforementioned takes the funny view that you should have your head examined if you the things from If...
Same way, seeing as the audiences loved Black Panther, critics gave it a whopping 88 out of 100 on average, I should see a shrink.
88?!
Where does this come from?
Well, there are a few reasons to appreciate Black Panther.
First, as the name suggests, the film has a Black Hero as opposed to the myriad of white male supermen, action characters, leading roles, personages that have dominated the big screen for too long.
Not only that, but almost all the figures in the motion picture are black, natives of the magical Wakanda, for the most part.
For this, the movie needs to be praised.
Furthermore its commercial and popular success is to be appreciated, for it has proved that in spite of the prejudice held by studio executives, leading African American men and women can sell films, even making a production a huge box office hit, like the Black Panther.
As an action, adventure and science fiction feature, we could say that it works.
Much like the Star Wars, I guess.
But this is where the problem lies for yours truly.
I am not a great fan of the Star Wars either.
So I do not experience the exuberant, ecstatic feelings that lovers of this Marvel characters genre appear to have.
Indeed, for someone like the undersigned, Black Panther is not even watchable to the end...
Talk about 88 out of 100...
