Hotel Artemis, written and directed by Drew Pearce

Seeing as Jodie Foster has a leading role in this motion picture, one would expect it to be at least good.
Well...it isn't!
I think I knew that Jodie Foster is acclaimed not only for her immense talent as an actress, but for her exceptional intelligence as well...
She has graduated the French high school - like my daughter.
She has also been a student in one of the prestigious universities...
Hasn't she?
But we all make mistakes.
And her decision to act in this was wrong.
She is not the only extremely gifted performer in the motion picture, alas.
For that means more waste of talent.
Sterling K. Brown is very good, temperate, restrained as the criminal mastermind Waikiki.
In control, balanced, almost imperial, excellent as always is Jeff Goldblum in the small role of the crime lord Wolf King.
Nevertheless, the film feels awkward.
Jodie Foster is not convincing.
On the contrary, her acting seemed gauche, exaggerated at times then too tired, even if the audience is meant to see a nurse at the end of her strength, it was an outer performance.
There are some martial arts scenes that may delight the fans of the genre, but yours truly was not impressed.
Why go on for longer?
Hotel Artemis seems to be in the category to be avoided...
At all costs?
