Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again!

As a pretext to hear ABBA songs and watch beautiful, talented people dancing in a splendid setting, on a glorious Greek island, this would work.
Then there is the stellar cast:
Meryl Streep - albeit with a much diminished role - Pierce Brosnan, Andy Garcia, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgard, Cher...even the clerk in a booth is an extremely talented comedian - Omid Djalili.
Another merit is the presence in a leading role of the exuberant, flamboyant, beautiful, charming, musical, resplendent Lily James as young Donna.
The fact that she sleeps with three men at about the same time, on days that are so close to each other that she cannot tell who is the father of Sophie, her daughter, has been established in the first Mamma Mia, which would probably have more sequels, if the box office numbers are right.
Otherwise, there is not much to look for in a film that has the ABBA songs perhaps every other five minutes or less.
There is the aforementioned splendor of the islands, the sea, the young and not so young protagonists, the dancing and the exuberance of the artists.
Some are less than convincing, for instance Dominic Cooper and at times Amanda Seyfried.
Even Lily James, astounding, superb, vibrant, stupendous, perhaps herself a Meryl Streep in the making, has some moments when she exaggerated with her laughter, but she is still so very young and promises to become a brilliant, titanic figure of the big screen.
